Al is one of the industry's most sought-after automotive directors. For over fifteen years, he has made cars look fast, loud, and beautiful across commercials, car chases, and documentaries, starting as a self-shooting filmmaker, then DOP, and now director.
Originally from London and now based in the Midlands, Al is a lifelong car and film enthusiast who brings an instinctive understanding of vehicles across the entire spectrum, from the world’s fastest hypercars to cutting-edge luxury tech. A highly capable and passionate driver himself, Al draws on over two decades of hands-on experience racing and drifting around the globe, including expert familiarity with the famously unforgiving Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Over the years, Al has directed and created for Aston Martin, Bugatti, Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren, Top Gear TV, Red Bull, Jay Leno’s Garage, Bollywood, Formula One, GT racing, and many more. One standout moment includes a Bugatti world-record film with over 100 million views, making it the most viewed car commercial on YouTube.

This lifetime of obsession has led Al to explore further ways of creating automotive visual storytelling. It culminated in his co-founding of Fuze Studios, a CGI animation house established to help OEMs produce authentic commercials that would otherwise be unfilmable, whilst retaining accurate driving dynamics and grounded cinematography. This hybrid approach, blending real-world production with digital artistry, has become a signature strength. Al continues to bridge both disciplines with ease.

It can be a little tricky to define his role. He is a respected director, filmmaker, and animator, experienced sound designer and musician, and is even known to get behind the wheel himself.
